My Workout Progress with Insanity

I've been focusing on P90X and One on One with Tony Horton for the past 18 months and wanted to mix up my workouts a little. I decided to purchase the Insanity workout with Shaun T a few weeks back and see what type of results I could see if I focused for 60 days on this new workout.
Well....thru the 1st 2 weeks, I can say that these are the hardest cardio focused workout I have ever done. They have really challenged me to focus and push thru the pain and exhaustion of these workouts. I have lost about 4 pounds in the 2 weeks and have seen some major definition in my abdominals. Although the focus is on cardio and working your lower body, there is plenty of focus on the upper body working your arms, chest, and shoulders. The good thing about this workout series is that you do not need anything but some space to jump around and your own body. There is a huge focus on workout your core and only using your body weight to get in great shape.
This is a great workout series that I would recommend to anyone that is currently in 'good' shape. Below is a quick video of this workout:
The secret to these mind-blowing results that you can get with Insanity: MAX Interval Training. Shaun T took traditional interval training and flipped it on its head—you perform long bursts of maximum-intensity exercises with short periods of rest. Each workout keeps you constantly challenged as you alternate between aerobic and anaerobic intervals performed at your MAX. The results: burn up to 1,000 calories an hour and get the most insane body in only 60 days.
Purchase this workout series below for $119.85 but if you are a coach, you can get this workout series for only $89.89. Ask me about becoming a coach with Beachbody - michaelobrien@beachbodycoach.com

Beachbody is 10 years old
Below is a blog post from Carl Daikeler on Beachbody's 10 years in business:
Ten years ago today, our very first customer, Hope Putnam, ordered Great Abs Guaranteed to launch what has now become the $400+MM a year leader in finding an end to the trend of obesity.
To celebrate the ten year milestone, we sent this crystal trophy to the employees, investors, friends, and parents who helped us get things off the ground, and got the entire company together to make the occasion with an official announcement this morning.
To add to the excitement, in this week's IMS report, the company which tracks the most aired infomercials of the week, Beachbody had three shows of the top five - a first in our history!
Yet it feels like we're just getting started. We've really just found our momentum, with the Beachbody network redefining healthy peer support, P90X redefining fitness, and Shakeology redefining nutrition.
The last ten years have been exceptionally exciting. But we have a lot of work to do to achieve our potential... Our best is still ahead of us!

What Beachbody Program is Right for You?

Beachbody provides its coaches with a great newsletter, Momentum, that provides alot of useful information for both building the retail business and developing your downline network. Below is an article from Momentum on recommending the right program for your customers.....Sizing up your Customers.
Recommending the right workout program is a key to retaining loyal customers. P90X might be all the rage on TV, but that doesn't mean its the best choice for everybody. The wrong program can lead to disillusionment and, perhaps, failure. Choose the right program and you'll have a friend for life.
The options are virtually limitless, because Beachbody has everything from entry-level to graduate programs - even "personality programs."
Entry-level programs are great for people who haven't done much exercise because they have an introductory phase. They include ChaLEAN Extreme and Kathy Smith's Project: YOU! Type 2. A de-conditioned person will struggle to finish each workout and will likely be too sore to work out the next day.
Graduate programs are for people who have a fitness base because these workouts bust into intensity from the get-go. They include P90X, P90 Master Series, Power Half Hour, Slim Series, Yoga Booty Ballet Master Series, and the upcoming Insanity with Shaun T and Turbo Fire programs.
Personality programs can help people who don't like traditional workouts get motivated through music or dance-like routines:
What to consider:
- Which program is appropriate. Never recommend a graduate program to someone who hasn't been doing much exercise. Our entry-level programs are challenging, even for ex-athletes, and will provide a solid fitness base, which allows the customer to get better results with the graudate program once he or she gets there. Sure, people have jumped into P90X who had no business being there and ended up doing well. But I'll bet we've had far more get frustrated and quit, whereas if they'd started with Power (0, they would have been ready for the "X" on day one.
- Personality - both of your customer and our trainers.
- The "don't like to exercise" group. For these people, Hip Hop Abs and Yoga Booty Ballet would be fun choices. Chalene Johnson came up with the idea for Turbo Jam while watching a group of women, who hated to exercise, dance all night at a wedding.
- The "afraid of exercise" group. Maybe the rhythm required to keep up with Shaun T is too much. A better trainer would be Debbie Siebers or Kathy Smith, who use easy to follow movements.
Some people love Tony while others love Debbie. Customers will only Push Play if they like the person talking to them. We have a refund policy. If someone isn't digging a trainers personality, get him or her together with someone else right away - before his or her enthusiasm wanes.
Ask questions and share warnings redily. Most people aren't ready to believe that something they see on TV can be too hard for them. But I've seen national class athletes coming off a full season of competition, reducted to hobbling and whimpering after a week on the X. It's the real deal.
Customers who are happy with their training programs are beautiful things. If they're enthused, half of your work is already done. So take a few minutes to learn our line of products, and then size up each customer individually.

The P90X Rumors Are True
I am copying this post from Carl Daikeler (CEO of Beachbody) on carldaikeler.blogspot.com. There are a ton of foks that are getting on this P90X phenomenon.........catch the wave!
Any Beachbody complaints about not getting noticed by the media are distant history. And P90X is the best free publicist we could have hoped for.
Without spending a dime on endorsements or PR efforts, word continues to spread about the shift in health and fitness from gyms and trainers to our DVD programs, and it seems to be nearing a real tipping point.
First it was Chicago lead singer Jason Scheff who used P90X and the coaching opportunity to motivate himself to get back into shape. Then it was NFL kicker David Akers who's trainer suggested P90X to answer coach Andy Reid's command to get back into pro-bowl condition. Then People ran a story on Poppy Montgomery from Without A Trace. Then we got calls that Sheryl Crow has transformed her body with P90X, and went on and on about it on the red carpet of the Grammys. Then at the Pro Bowl, Baltimore Ravens' super star Ray Lewis told the media he uses P90X.
And then there was a rumor that a "Twitter Tweet" surfaced that Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore were asking questions about this P90X thing they keep seeing on TV.
It looks like the rumors were true.
Look what just got posted by People Magazine...

What is Your Why......And Why Beachbody?
There are many reasons that our Beachbody coaches have to getting involved with this company. For me personally, I became a Beachbody coach to re-dedicate myself to health and fitness and share my successes with others and get them motivated. On top of this, I use many of the Beachbody products and get sneak peaks at new programs and also get a 25% discount off of the retail pricing. I would also eventually like to become a coach full-time and develop an enourmous network of Health and Fitness minded people that are spreading the word on Beachbody and exercise and proper nutrition.
Here are some quick videos of Beachbody coaches that explain in their own words why they are involved with this great company called Beachbody:

Team Beachbody and P90X - One Year Later
Also important for me was to get involved with the Beachbody business opportunity and becoming a coach. By becoming a coach with Team Beachbody, I hold myself accountable to others who look to me for guidance and support. I not only help people transform their fitness, I help them transform their finances. Beachbody provides an amazing opportunity and is an amazing company to be associated with.
